Starts, wins, and Super Bowl rings contribute much more to career earnings now that the rookie scale is in place. Sam Bradford was the last #1 pick to take advantage of not having a rookie scale in place, and I think that most of the great QBs that follow him, regardless of draft position, will make more money in their careers than he will.
