COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) ? In the place where memories begin, the day the talent scout discovered a 3-year-old Ashlee Lauren Trebilcock cavorting in a Boise, Idaho, mall remains a flickering image.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The computer that spits out the Big Ten women?s basketball schedule each year decided that Ohio State should have its two bye weeks in the first two weeks of conference play. the Lady Buckeyes beat the Gophers tonight for their second BigTen win, I watched a lot of the game on CSTV

they trailed 33-32 at the half and were struggling mightily to handle the ball and get the ball to Davenport.

Second half though got a lot better and they opened up a big lead with a strong second half from Davenport and Hoskins. They pushed the tempo a little more and Davenport got some easy hoops from guard penetration.

Brandie Hoskins of Ohio State moves around Minnesota?s Kelly Roysland for two of her 17 points.
As victories go, the 75-62 victory that the Ohio State women?s basketball team wrenched from the hands of Minnesota last night in Value City Arena was about as pretty as a wart hog wearing a polka dot ribbon.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

In the 11 seasons Jim Foster coached the Vanderbilt women?s basketball team, Kentucky didn?t count as one of the major Southeastern Conference rivals for the Commodores. "We would oftentimes have a louder contingent (at Kentucky) because it?s one of the closer drives from Nashville," he said. "We would have (more) fans come up."
