2025 LA DL Jahkeem Stewart (Verbal Offer)

Respectfully, JT stunted his own growth playing the recruiting game not coming until August. To be honest Jack took longer to develop than I expected. Both highly rated as you mentioned. Both studs but have lower ceilings IMO, than Stewart.
I was just stating that OSU has landed DL rated as highly as Stewart. All of the superlatives that have been used for Stewart were all used for JT and Sawyer, but mainly JT. He was also considered generational, and a must get, and "different". Of course things change when players get to college. I remember when Robert Nkemdiche was considered one of the best players to ever enter CFB. I remember when Ronald Powell and Rashan Gary were also supposed to tear up CFB and were also considered "different".
And Jack's development isn't all his fault, he was tasked with playing out of position as a Jack as a Soph when he had a promising true frosh year. And then his 3rd year he became arguably OSU's best DE.

Well, given that tOSU will be laying it out, and leaving everything on the field for the Game, it'll be a good one for him to see. Hopefully, JT and Jack can hose the quarterback numerous times, and the O will lay a big number on the wolverweenies. Any update on a reclass by this guy?

Well, certainly hope that he'll be a Buckeye. Don't know the disposition of LSU's D, but he'd be behind some of our more 'senior' DLs. For a 17 year old, might not be a bad thing. His body looks ready to go, but mayhaps his football mind needs to be developed? It'll be a great story to watch play out. Go Coach J!

Hamilton and Tyleik are gone after this year, so if Stewart values early PT then it would be a good opportunity here. Granted we have plenty of other DTs on the roster that show promise and we have a killer '25 DT class, but as you mentioned he probably needs a year of development anyways. LSU may be tough to beat though, hopefully The Game makes an impression on him for his visit.

From what I've been seeing, many think he's similar to Edrick Houston, in where he can play anywhere on the DL. So that also helps, since he can line up inside or outside

That could very well could be but I just see a legit 6'6 frame with a kid that is already 260-ish pounds in his junior year, and think he very likely ends up a more pure DT (likely 3-tech with his explosiveness). But of course you just try your best to get him here and figure that part out later, LSU will be tough to beat out.

Yeah, he's the type of player that you just bring in, and figure out the position later.

They used to say he would 'eat his way to become a tackle'. Am pretty certain that today means Coach Mick would put the good weight on (muscle) and see where his body type ends up. Pretty certain that Coach Mick also will teach footwork and explosion. Do remember a time when tOSU training included an inverted ramp, with the player sporting a parachute, which would simulate 'drag'. Long time ago, though.
