2025 LA DL Jahkeem Stewart (USC Signee)

Let’s be honest here, friends you grew up with aren’t paying your bills or getting your mom out of her current situation. Get to college as soon as you can and start the NIL clock is new era. Don’t hate the kids or their family’s for the decision, this is all the fault of the NCAA and their need to want to lie to fans about “amateurism “, while they brought in billions. These kids should get every cent possible, the NFL isn’t promised. And the pain and life risks isn’t any less in college
Oh I don’t hate them… I just hate what it’s come to.

I understand the move and if he was my son I’d tell him to strike while the iron is hot.

But I’ll always hate this move.

Life goes way too fast and it’s terrible to speed it up when you don’t really have to.

He’s 6’6 275 and if he’s been there for over a year then he can say he needs to be developed by a college coach as High Schools just aren’t equipped. I don’t hate the move, IF that’s what it’s for. Hell the school could be trying to make money off of him and he feels jaded. Maybe his coach is doing the same. We don’t know. My OP was maybe it was they won’t let him grad early and who are they to deny that? Quinn wouldn’t have come here if Texas allowed HS players to be paid, now they do. Sonny will need to stick around another year tbh. I don’t hate it. It is what it is and if he feels he needs more physical development and can make some $ as a result then more power to him

Pretty much sums up how I feel. For me personally, I loved HS and wouldn't want to leave early even if I were this talented and had the opportunities Stewart has. But it's not me and the kid can do what he wants, and he can capitalize early and then develop.

I'm in the minority. I was ready to get out of high school as soon as possible, not that I had any athletic talent;-)

I can't speculate for him, but he may be ready for better competition and a chance to be compensated for his skills.

Same - I barely and I mean barely went to my graduation.

I think he sees himself as ready to make the leap. We'll see what is true....

When he makes that visit, Stewart will do so as a New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr High School student. Stewart had been at New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine, but has decided to stay local and has transferred to Edna Karr High School, according to multiple sources. However, after transferring, Stewart will not be able to play the 2024 football season
New school has been chosen, and will have to sit out the rest of the season
