OT Kyle Kalis, 6-5, 305, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward: A member of the Ohio 2010 Division I state champions, Kalis was set to decommit after learning of Tressel?s fate, but a call to Fickell changed that. After spending nearly an hour on the phone with the new coach, the five-star prospect and No. 21 overall player in the country told multiple media outlets that he plans to keep his pledge with OSU as long as Fickell remains in charge.

By The Bank....Remains 100% committed to Ohio State, as long as Coach Fickell remains the coach, and is actively recruiting other players. Plans on getting all of the commits to attend camp on June 25th to show their support.

Anyone who doubts CF abilty to recruit as a head coach needs to take a look at this. He has yet coach game and this guy can't wait to suit up for him. Once he has the chance to really get out there watch out.....

I think we all know Fickell is a great recruiter. But right now, he's got his hands tied behind his back with all this negative stuff around the program. And he cant even promise recruits he'll be there next year.

IMO once he can get out there and really talk to kids and their folks he will be able to calm a lot of this down amogst them. Most of what's out there has already been proven to be wrong, and I don't think a lot of kids realize this. They are taking what the ESPN talkking heads are saying as fact.

If everything stays as it is now, with nothing new coming out, I think we will finish strong. But that's IMHO....

Ummmmm, well this is awkward. *Edit* even more awkward is the fact that the page doesn't exist anymore... Essentially it was a TomVH update saying that Kalis would be visiting Michigan this weekend because Tom Strobel and Chris Wormley had convinced him to check it out. It also said that he would be taking visits to Auburn, Alabama, and some other schools that I don't remember. I think he stays with OSU, but then again it's not signing day yet.

Ohio State OL commit Kyle Kalis has been caught in the mix with the Ohio State allegations. He went on the record and said that he was set to decommit from the Buckeyes until interim head coach Luke Fickell talked him out of it. Kalis then went on to say that he does have interest in Michigan and a few other schools. He told me tonight that he and his father will be visiting Ann Arbor this weekend. Here's a look at his film and what he had to say...

Not sure how all of this unfolded, but to say on June 15th that he is 100% commited to OSU, is going to actively recruit other players and he is going to get all the commits to attend camp and then turn around and visit Michigan on that weekend instead seems a little odd. That is a big change in 5 days.

Come on Kyle, get Tom and Chris to visit OSU. Don't be a follower, be a leader!!!

Doesn't sound good for us.

Worst. Offseason. Ever.

EDIT: I will say that the bleeding will begin to subside once the season starts. We simply have a more talented team than Michigan and most of the rest of the conference as a whole. Once the recruits see that we are still Ohio State on the football field, I think the tide turns in recruiting. Hoke probably knows this, which is why he's making his big recruiting push now.
