KyLLLLLe KaLLLLLis (traitor with a platinum sombrero)

I couldn't help but smile when I saw Kalis on the field during Michigan's meltdown against Minnesota. I said it about ten years ago and I'm sticking with my initial stance - Jim Tressel broke the curse and flipped the script on Ohio kids who spurn OSU for Michigan.

I don't remember much before the Cooper years, so during my early years as an OSU fan, we were constantly being torched by Ohioans playing for Michigan - Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson as prime examples. Since Tressel came along, Ohioans who spurn OSU for Meeshegan seemed to have a career full of being posterized by the Buckeyes, with a career of 4 or 5 losses. Kyle, you should have seen this coming!

Kalis did not want to get penalized for something he had nothing to do with. Instead he is being penalized for something he had everything to do with: his decision to sign with UM.

I don't fault Kyle so much for bailing on OSU, although I'll never like such a thing. What bothered me is that after re-affirming his commitment to Luke Fickell, he made demands that Fickell should get the head coaching gig. That in itself, not a problem, but then he decommits and goes to TSUN! That's why I'm enjoying his situation now.

Regardless of his reasons for going up there, I have to believe that he has already had multiple moments of honesty where he has said to himself, "What in the hell was I thinking?" He can say that for 4 years and then fade into obscurity, and I won't be feeling sorry for him. He had a choice and he chose the consequences of his choice.

Yeah, but I'm sure he is very content knowing that he will be "set for the rest of his life" (after football) with his bachelor's degree in general studies from scUM.
