This isn’t complicated. Please don’t put words in my mouth. I didn’t say it was Johnson’s fault. This is a Big 10 and PAC 12 driven agenda. Johnson is but a puzzle piece in the agenda.

Just sayin': A couple comments here....:

1) It wasn't TBDBITL and Drake. He did the correct thing there, the OSU Marching Band is an actual Ohio State music class just like a calculus or chemistry class, etc., he had no choice on that one. Drake's problem was the ridiculous suspensions of Urban Meter and Gene Smith.

2) It doesn't matter how long an OSU President has been there. If you make a fucked up decision/vote; you get the "albatross around your neck" period.

Oh no, not calling you out at all Billmac, sorry if it seemed that way... just responding to a lot of anti-Johnson stuff (i.e. barstool post above) on Day 1.5 on the job for her. Definitely this is more a B1G thing than an OSU one.

Drake was absolutely saddled with the correct-but-alumni-hated OSUMB firing that he walked into on day 1, and we all know the Urban business came from the board anyway. Michael Drake was a very good OSU president. Just sayin.

No, I'm 100% correct here.....

TBDBITL/Waters...it doesn't matter what any alumni thought...it was an official OSU class....it was sexual harassment..Waters was in charge, he knew what was going on, and hadn't done anything to stop it...In fact he encouraged it; he reportedly even called some of the female band members by their "sexually suggestive nicknames:...he was wrong and was fired...case closed.

"Urban business"...Urban had already served a suspension, originally the trustees voted to not add to the suspension. Drake had to show the academic community how was in charge and to make a statement so he added the additional suspensions. Yes, there was one trustee that said Urban's additional 3 game suspension wasn't severe enough; but (needless to say) that wasn't the opinion of the majority of the trustees.

I believe it was shown in another thread that the 12-2 was the medical staffs at each school... or so the PR spin goes... Johnson might not have even had a chance to vote.

Point of clarification: based on the rumor tweeting, this "vote" wasn't based on cancelling the season, but instead a different discussion. Just sharing.
