Krenzel ... Good, Bad or Ugly? (Long)

Either Tim Couch is a big time bust or Krenzel should have been drafted a little higher - Da Bears gave Couch a workout and said, 'Na, we'll go with who we've got'.
I'll break down the situation like I've heard it broken down many times (feels good to know about something finally :)).

Lovie Smith is a first year coach whose starter got hurt. He signed Quinn in the offseason, thinking he'd be a capable backup. He drafted Krenzel in the 5th round to perhaps learn and one day be the backup.

When Grossman went down, he signed Hutchinson, who hasn't played in a while. In the meantime, Quinn and for his very short time Krenzel haven't even been average.

The reasons they didn't get Couch?
A) He's already signed a QB during the season. Signing another makes it a really odd situation.
B) Tim Couch had rotator cuff surgery. They brought him in for a full workout and I guess he didn't impress all that much. He got cut from GB in leiu of lifetime backup Doug Pederson. If that doesn't sell you on his health, I dunno what will.
C) Even with a healthy Tim Couch, what will he do for the Bears? He's never been more than average, and if he's the difference between 3-13 and 5-11 what's that do for them? If you're not going anywhere; get a high pick. Certainly, Couch isn't part of the Bears future if he signs on.

Now, excuse me while I go back to the hell that is being a Chicago sports fan.

Krenzel will be a great back up QB, but will never be able to win a Super Bowl as a starter IMHO. He is not the answer.

I heard that the Bears now are thinking of going after Jeff George. CK I like, but I don't believe that he is going to do anything great with that sort of talent around him.
