I'm telling you guys, we gotta start on that spaceship while there's still time.
This highlights the fundamental flaw in the liberal mindset - if you can explain a behavior, you must excuse that behavior.
Without accountability we have rights and no responsibilities. Without accountability we have chaos.
Lower case "liberal" if you will, buy it is an identifiable thought pattern.Oh dear god, I took you for an individual that was beyond the 'liberal this, that' rhetoric.
Being able to walk around free provided you don't commit another crime is not being "under the thumb of the justice system". The minimum two years as someone's ass-boy is far better "treatment" for this little fuck...The Star-Telegram adds that "Scott Brown, an attorney who represented the teen with Reagan Wynn, said the teen could have been freed in two years if Boyd had sentenced him to 20 years. 'She fashioned a sentence that could have him under the thumb of the justice system for the next 10 years,' Brown said."

I buy this as a thought pattern of those clinically insane. Now, by no means am I a "liberal" (to that extent I wouldn't call myself conservative; I really don't have a designation) however the victim mentality while being the perp of a crime, to me, transcends political or philosophical ideals. This is privilege that only wealth can buy.
I do agree, identifiable thought pattern. However not one that is exclusive to any particular group.
There I would differ. While not exclusive, I do believe that "liberal" is an accurate term to apply to a thought process that is liberal in its interpretation of what is an appropriate way to deal with a situation like this.
You know what the cure for Affluenza is? Prison, or the chair.
If I was that judge I would have laughed in the defendant's face, and his lawyers, when they presented that case. Well..maybe not in their face, wouldn't want grounds for a retrial.
