Kellen Winslow Jr. (not a good dude)

Let him sit and earn zipola for a year. I don't think it will hurt too many peoples feelings. It was a stupid draft choice from the beginning. The Browns hiearchy had to know they were going to be in for this kind of crap when they drafted him.

Kellen again

First of all, thanks to BuckeyeBill73 for the cartoon...I had to forward that to a bunch of people--it's hilarious.
I can't wait for negotiations to be over, hopefully before camp is over. Let's not get crazy out there saying what a bad pick this was....ESPN just named him the biggest impact rookie for the coming season! He will be awesome when he does get in and play. This is a fiery kind of guy that the Browns haven't had in forever...someone with attitude like Ray Lewis.
Yes, the soldier comment was blown out of proportion, and very bad timing considering the state of the world at the time. I do love his kick butt attitude though.

It gets better by the day with this jackass Winslow.

A totally unproven rookie TE in the NFL wanting more than the best TE in the NFL?? What a freakin joke. The worst part is that the Browns will meet all his demands, and then suffer from his lack of achievement on the field.

Thank God the Skins took S. Taylor.

The Perry pick wasn't bad. There really wasn't anyone there for the Bengals to take in the first place. Rudi may be gone next year and we'll see how Chris does this year. I still think it was the right pick for what was left on the table.

As a lifelong browns fan, I've got to say that I'm happy. I hate Winslow. I don't care how good he is, or how big of a browns fan I am. At some basic level, there has to be a fundamental amount of "root-ability". Just because your drafted by the browns, doesn't mean I'm going to root for you. There's nothing about Winslow that makes me hope he succeeds on any level. Honestly, I hope he never signs and the browns have to trade his rights to somebody else. Or even better, he sits out a year and re-enters the draft. That way butch davis might catch some flak for blowing a high draft pick. The faster the both of those guys (winslow and b.davis) get out of town the sooner I can go back to being the browns fan I once was.

The thought of Winslow signing a 7yr deal with the browns ... whether it's for $40 of $40 million, makes me wanna puke.

I remember Mel Diaper Jr. and Berman crying "The Browns got the steal of the draft! The best player!" blah, blah, blah. What they failed to mention was that you actually have to get him to PLAY, something that may make the pick a killer for the Browns.

Larry Fitzgerald signs record high rookie contract - The six-year contract could be worth as much as $60 million and includes slightly more than $20 million in guaranteed bonus money, also a record.

Well Kellans going to need at LEAST that now lol.

Here's the latest from Lane Adkins on the state of the Winslow contract talks, as relayed in our Ask the Insiders forum:

"Over the past 24-hours, team reps have conducted further discussions with the Poston's regarding a Winslow deal.

According to information provided, the Browns have not upped their offer to Winslow, but discussed specific parameters of a deal that the Poston's request.

Again, all indications are the Poston's want 5-7 million additional dollars, plus achievable bonus incentives that could in reality become 10-11 million dollars above the Browns current offer. A lengthy holdout could be in the offing."

If thats true HH, it means the soldja thinks he is worth 9M or so less than the overall #1 draft pick who is a QB and named Manning.

I am going to type this just to see how ridiculous it looks:

The #6 draft pick is a TE who not only thinks he is worth more than any TE in NFL history, he feels he is entitled to make nearly what a QB taken #1 overall made.

#6 TE = #1 QB

:shake:
