Back when he was looking for an agent, his dad was charging Pro Agents $2500 just to interview with him for the chance to become his agent.

Reminds me of that FLASH Cartoon that was going around about his contract negotiation.

Guys, I am not going to try and defend KWjr and who knows if this happened, but the article is written by good old gossip columnist Brown of the Plain Dealer. Please, never believe any of his stuff unless you see it reported by at least three other news sources. The guy is the worst "reporter" out there.

Even if it's not true there are still plenty of reasons to hate the guy. :wink:

So, that's what happened to reporter who "scooped" the MoC story for the NY Times?

Roger Brown may have gotten off to a bad start in the cleveland sports pages writing about things that weren't really his business, but I'll have to say that I regulary read his articles and over the course of the last year, have found them to be right on at the time they were written. He catches alot of shit for having "sources", but in reality, he's a great source of balance in the local sports scene when you consider that the offical press conferences often never tell the full story.

I'd recommend reading his columns regularly and deciding for yourself. He writes about OSU sports more than you'd think.

The thing about journalism is you have these "sources" who don't want to go on record, but they have really good info. It's up to the writer, editor, and the paper's staff to decide their own policy on things like that.

I ran into a similiar problem with a local government story and decided not to write the story at all because I was not willing to burn the source, nor was I willing to write it without attribution.

The thing is if he burns his source and attributes him to the info that bridge is destroyed. Tricky stuff.
