That's the secret to being a non-Ohio State fan. You lower your expectations at strategic moments to increase your ability to talk smack even after epic beat downs (not saying that is going to happen in this case).

You drop nuggets of pessimism every once and awhile prior to games, and then after the game you can say you knew the loss was going to happen all along so it's really not that big of a deal that you got your ass kicked. This allows you to continue to talk shit about when you knocked off #1 ranked Ohio State that one time. God help us all if they actually pull off the victory. Lather, rinse, repeat year after year and BAM! you've got yourself a classic Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan State... ect. fan.

I'm actually pretty jealous of the strategy. It is an unstoppable force in obnoxious fandom. But alas, I can just not bring myself to ever think that the Buckeyes will lose a game so I am always disappointed when it happens.

Agree to some extent, but you could really say that about any middling team in a major conference, not just the Big Ten.

If you want me to say I expect Wisconsin to win the game, I will. I don't have a problem being held accountable. But really, I know this game could go either way.
