Can anyone please explain how Canada is the #1 seed in this thing?

Don't quote me or nothin'...but I think it has somethin' to do with the universal health care they have...if their star player goes down, they have the resources to heal his ass and get him back in the game. :wink2:

But hey, that's just my guess....

Mexico won 41-0. Opening ceremonies are going on right now then USA vs France. Anybody know if there was sound on the live streams for the games earlier? There's no sound on the live stream for the opening ceremonies right now.

Edit: Nevermind about the sound, I reloaded and have it now.

Already 16-0 USA and they haven't even attempted a pass. The USA might have to literally stop trying for them not to crack triple digits. It's just a complete physical mismatch.

Add another 8 to that

61 yard touchdown run on our first 3rd and 10 of the day.

Then off a bobbled snap on the extra point, holder recovered and threw about a 40 yard pass for the 2 point conversion

The only thing that's keeping the score down is the USA can't get out of it's own way. France has gained two first downs off 15-yard penalties, one of which would've been a defensive TD by the USA. There's been six bad snaps, three dropped passes and a handful of penalties that have delayed how fast the USA has been able to score. The USA is really taking it's time between plays to run clock to keep the scoring down as much as they can, they actually took too much time and got one delay of game. USA finally scores again right before the half, 37-0.

what i find interesting is it that throwing the ball is the best way for the US to avoid running up the score (literally)
I've noticed that too. When the USA runs the ball they're unstoppable because of their physical advantage. When they're in shotgun the center can't seem to be able to snap the ball and there's been some trouble catching.
