Jordan Hicks (Philadelphia Eagles)

Don't fall asleep on Jamel Turner, 80. If Hicks comes on board, would there ever in the history of OSU have been 3 more explosive, athletic guys at OLB than Hicks, Turner, and Dorian Bell? All potential tremendous difference makers. McVey's production shows that he may belong in this group as well. Great to feel optimism return to this thread.

Absolutely, I hear ya man. Many are penciling in Turner at DE but I'm thinking OLB all the way...those 3 would be potentially the most athletic LB corp I can remember here. Not to mention, all 5 star guys. Glad to hear Hicks could be seeing the light.

Instead of talking up three kids who haven't seen the field yet (two of whom aren't in their senior years in high scholl yet), how about mentioning Etienne Sabino?

He was talking about Outside Linebackers, and Sabino will be a MLB when those kids see the field, if he isn't already there in '09.

Like there's no possibility that either of those three could be moved to MLB...back to Jordan.

To me, Turner at DE is the only way it makes sense for Gholston not to have an offer.

The ONLY way he doesn't have an offer? So it isn't possible the staff disagrees with Rivals and Scout?

Count me in as one that disagrees with Rivals and Scout when it comes to William....

William is pretty raw. I think he gets away with a lot of mistakes because of just how freakishly big he is. I'm afraid that when William gets to the next level and his size isn't such a huge advantage he won't be looked at as the "must get" or "why haven't we offered" that some are making him out to be. (In fact, I think his size may start to hurt him if he continues to grow)

No doubt the kid is a good kid and I hate talking negative about him at all, but I think the coaching staff is making the right move by not offering at this time. I wish him the best though!

Rivals $

4/16

From the UT site..his coach says that he has cut down his list down to 15 and that over the spring he plans on talking to coaches from Texas, USC, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Oregon.
