I see him holding out for an even better job than that...I think a lower tier big ten type job or maybe big east...Something in the midwest area...

I think he could get a job like Penn State, Seton Hall or the like but I'm not sure that's the best career route. Other than Billy Clyde at Texas A&M it seems like the Rutgers, Penn States, Oregon States, Northwesterns of the world are a graveyard for coaches. A couple good seasons at a top mid-major and he could be in the running for a big time BCS job.

The Indiana job could open up too; however, I doubt that Groce would be considered for that one.

I think Mike Davis is a lock for that job

I'm surprised his name isn't getting tossed around more for some of the openings out there. Other than the rumor I with Mostate I haven't seen him mentioned anywhere.

If I was an AD at a mid-major program in the midwest, he'd be the first guy I called. I hope we can keep him for a couple more years.

I agree I do not like this thread getting bumped up. I really believe that Matta have such a good relationship that it is going to take a big offer to get him away from Ohio State and cbf40 has said that their wives are very good friends:) also.

that osu team was pathetic. wasnt it actually like at 10 point game? that team got smoked by penn by 20some. barely beat some tenn chat team, lost to csu, penn state, northwestern and about everyone else. they didnt win a game away from home. 6-22? for the year?

that team was so poor that don jantonio looked like an upgrade off the bench the next year. jantonios shot was so bad he couldnt hit the ocean from the beach...
