Well, here goes. See, Herbie is from Ohio, Centerville to be exact, so he speaks English, with maybe with a hint of southern Ohio accent. Now, many OSU students are foreigners and perhaps don't speak English (or, 'Merican) very well. However, these students usually don't play on a 'Merican college football team, but at Ohio State, apparently they do. When JoePa made that comment to Herbie, it was clear that he doesn't like it when he has to decipher broken English, so he was happy that Herbie was interviewing him. So, now that I think about it, JoePa's a xenophobic bastard. Die old man!
