I am sure more people are with me on this than you. Paterno can talk smack when he actually starts coaching again. Standing on the sidelines yelling at officials like Lloyd Carr is all he has done the last 5 years. I never see him near an assistant coach on the sidelines or with a headset.

So an older coach who has made his bones while most of us were twinkles in our Daddy's eyes is hated because he complains about officials, raises hell on sidelines, and talks smack about his rivals.

Paterno is a living legend, but....

There isn't one part of me that thinks he's done much coaching this year. He's like a mascot on the sideline - I just don't see him coaching down there at all.
