Eh, even when I was aware he (Kaufman) was fucking with people...I never really found him funny...with the exception of him getting slapped by Jerry "The King" Lawler on Letterman.

I don't think this was a joke, fwiw. I mean...Joaquin just looked FUCKED up to me. I think that's also why Letterman slid in that comment...something about appologizing to Farrah Fawcett. I took that as Dave hinting that Phoenix was on something. :lol:

Yeah, but then reportedly his camp denied that and said he's dead serious. Who knows. If it's not an act, he rockets to the top of my "celebrity death pool"...

I hear quite often that I look like him. My constitution for growing a beard is substantially weaker than his though.

I find this quite hilarious, one way or the other. If it's an act, bravo. I loved Andy Kaufman anyhow. If it's not, ha!
