Jim Bollman (Stay calm and run Dave)

The Buck, no pun intended, stops at the top.
If the coaches aren't performing, it's JT who brought them here.
If the players aren't performing, it's JT that brought them here.
It amazes me that some people blame everyone except JT.
When Coop was here, everything was Coops fault. With JT, it is everyone but JT fault.

The way Tressel micromanages the coaches and the program, he's the one who needs to take responsiblity for the lack of performance by the O-line.
Tressel is the one who also calls the plays. If anyone is to blame for the lack of production from the offense, it's Tressel.

I agree. Tressel needs to take it upon himself to see that the deficiencies on offense are addressed, and addressed quickly. An NC buys a coach one hell of a long rope, but Tressel seems bound and determined to burn it as quickly as possible. If Bollman is not dealt with, and/or the offensive woes continue, Tressel could be putting himself in jeopardy after the 05 or 06 seasons, as another poster noted.

When Matt Roth runs over, and I mean litterally, our OT (Barton I believe) then you must start to question the tallent that we have brought to Ohio State. I know Roth is good, but there are great DEs Ohio State has faced in the past and I have never seen someone dominate like he did.

Still I can not believe that coaching does not have a big impact on how this OL has performed. Players look confused they have poor form everything still seems to develop very slowly on the o-line, we can't run block to save our life, and pass blocking is well done about 5% of the time we throw the ball.

Then we have turnovers by stupid QB play, (both QBs).

The excuses are done.

I am not saying this to be an ass, but I don't know if we will beat Indiana next week. I think we should, and probably will, but I don't feel confident about the game. We could be looking at no bowl game this season, forget about new years day.

If Bollman doesn't get fired after the season, then I think you can only give Tressel one more year of grace unless this thing gets turned around quick.

To be honest, if it was going to be turned around by more of the same I think it would have happened by now. Tressel looked and sounded defeated in his post game press confrence. I really don't think he has any answers as to what the hell is happening.

I will tell you this, there will be boos this weekend if we don't move the ball vs. IU. Not from me, but I know OSU fans, and they know this is not acceptable and will let the team know.

Bollman should be fired, or resign at the end of the year. There is really no other way of looking at it.

I appreciate your frustration, but I am willing to give Snyder, and D.Tressel the pass. I think Lydell is just not a good back, which is compounded by a horrible play of the offensive line. The other back is a freshman. Not only that, but Tim Spencer, who was a pretty good RB coach in my estimation, didn't get anything out of Lydell either. This is D. Tressel's first year, lets give him some time, and see how things go.

Snyder, I am giving the pass because he does have a young less experience defense, and it is his first year. There is no history like their is of Bollman showing that the defense is consistantly regressing. Do I think he is as good as Dantonio? No, but I guess that is why he got a head coaching job.

I don't think you can look at those positions and say that they are the cause for all of the problems. The O-Line I think it at this point has been made clear. With the regression of the last group that is drafted and playing in the NFL now, on top of the lack of development in this group. I don't see how anyone could see a way to say that he should not be held responsible, and I find it hard to believe he is not atleast part of the problem.

On a side note....

Killer did you see Fox break on the ball and bust up the pass today?

Just messin with ya

Actually I was going to post this elsewhere but although Fox didn't have what I would consider a great game, he certainly played better than either Youboty or Underwood in this game. I don't understand why they were so horrible, but Underwood got burned big, then they brought in Youboty, and he played loose coverage and missed tackles.

If it is a scheme thing, which I can't ever really tell on TV it is time to make an adjustment.

Also with out any pressure our secondary is horrible, we couldn't get any pressure than he couldn't get away from and therefore he picked us appart.

Finally, why the hell is Salley geting run over at the goalline by a 185lb QB?

What a horrible performance.

When's the last time anyone heard of a AD firing an assistant coach for something other than conduct that violated university policies?

If Geiger stepped in and fired Bollman, Dick Tressel, or any other coach other than the head coach himself - it would undermine JT's moral authority.

I know we're all desperate for some changes here - but I think Geiger will let JT handle the process of trying to fix our problems.
Actually JT isnt DT's boss, Geiger is, DT reports to Geiger because they didnt want to have anyone say anything about the possibility of nepotism.

I am in agreement with those that say Bollman needs to be fired. I have been saying this for a while now, simply put, he has failed.

The problems on the offensive line have caused a downward spiral on this whole team, and they have gotten worse every game this season. When you are doubled up on time of possession every week it is very hard to get a good performance out of your defense, they are tired. Our offense has been terrible, and it all leads back to Bollman. The playcalling would work if the holes were there, and the QB wasn't under fire on every pass play.

Bollman hasn't done shit, and if Tressel was wise he would fire him. Tressel will dig his own grave if he doesn't make some radical changes with his offense. I like Tressel to much as a coach to see this happen.

This team is playing flat and emotionless, and have lost their swagger.
