Jim Bollman (Stay calm and run Dave)

This was taken from "A look around the Big Ten" on ESPN Insider, by Teddy Greenstein. It sounds as though the staff is aware of his inability to develope a line--maybe something will be done about it. What is strange is that an offensive line coach made it to the box before the defensive coordinator.
One can only hope that Bollman will be taken to the curb ... better sooner than later.

wow...even Teddy Greenstein is an idiot. Does he post on BN too?

The part regarding Boeckman in any other role than backup is ridiculous. I posted the paragraph because it seems strange they put (made?) the O-Line coach in the box. That seems to indicate the line is thinner than I thought.

I have to agree with that. He has had plenty of time to develope and improve the offensive line. It has only regressed.

did anyone watch the game?? they mentioned this, they put the run cordinator (bollman) with the passing cordinator (daniels) to get a more cohesive approach.
An interesting way to put it. How bout just hiring someone who can call plays and teach the fundamentals of blocking.

Regardless of what they did here, the offense is in serious straights. We have been able to mask the ineffective offense that we have had for the last few years now with stellar defense and special teams.

At some point in time, all of the negativity productivity and publicity is going to have a negative effect on recruiting. Changes will have to be made in the staff to alleviate this issue.

At least the Bollman move shows one thing that I was beginning to question. Tressel acknowledges that the offense sucks, and he is "trying" (in his terms) to get something to work. Unfortunately moving your offensive coordinator who really isn't the play caller to the box isn't the remedy. They ought to use this philosopy on Snyder, I think that he would do much better in the box.

Well I would say that approach worked as planned they both sucked in an incredibly coordinated fashion.

What a crock of shit! Just because some asshole doesnt like us he can put us on his little list of the bottom 10 schools? Where was Nebraska on that list when TT hung 70 on them, in the cornfield? This guy will have to be beaten off JT's balls when we win the NC in 2-3 years
You have to know the Bottom 10 list... Nebraska WAS on the list after they gave up 70. The #5 spot is for the honor (or dishonor) of a major program that sucks up the joint that previous weekend. Like for one week they had "SEC Refs" another week they had Oregon on there for losing to Indiana. It's for "fun".
