Jim Bollman (Stay calm and run Dave)

Thanks for the info. I agree, and my biggest gripe is player development. Opening up the playbook is not the answer, unless the development of the players is brought up to the point where they can execute the plays they are given to run. We saw the playbook open up a bit in the middle portion of the Indiana game, and with the exception of the pass to Boren, it wasn't that pretty.

...and we saw the playbook open up a bit in the Nebraska game and the result was as good as the offense has looked all year.

Is Tre Roberson a better QB than Braxton Miller?
thebuckeyebattlecry.com

Jim Bollman and Ohio State?s coaching staff have failed to put Braxton Miller in a position to succeed throwing the ball all season by failing to develop a coherent game plan that builds off of the strong running attack.

The more I watch Bollman in action the more I am convinced that he calls plays in a vacuum based on individual situations (2nd and 7, 3rd and 13) rather than linking his play calling together to form a cohesive game plan.

Still doing playing action on 3rd and 21.....lol. Totally lost as too who we are fooling with that. I guess I know nothing and he wants BM to not see the field for that 2 seconds setting up playaction(would love to see someone ask him why he is doing this time and time again this year). Can`t for the life of me understand this. We did it again a few times against Indiana and I just sit there perplexed. Dont mean to beat a dead horse but what is the reason to do this? Seriously. Is it a ploy to help him not stare down a wr.....that is the only thing I can think of. It isnt fooling any defensive player.....and BM already usually has a spy on him anyways. I haven`t seen any other team in pro of college use this ploy ever. Sure Play action of 3rd and 4 makes sense....or 2nd and 3....but seriously 3rd and 16.

Btw the playaction and ball skills are very very very poor. Go watch Boise State and Kellen Moore if you want to see someone use their ball skills. I was impressed with Indians`s freshman qb ball`s skills also. Go Bucks

Well, since today is my [censored]ing birthday, I'll be celebrating with my family and not holed up on the computer all day, but thanks for sending me a private message because you want to debate.

Haha. Lighten up. I was just wondering what you thought of the play calling yesterday, but perhaps your silence speaks for itself.

I would love to see us throw a slant or crossing route. The routes we have our guys running are too long and too complex. Make it simple and quick. I'm tired of relying on the big play on 3rd and God knows what. Just once I would like to watch a game where I don't know what play our offense is going to run. Sorry for the rant but yesterday was embarrassing.
