Saw this on 11W, had to share it here:

295 yards against purdue....when wisky just hung 60 and 500 yards on them. Our team has serious issues on offense. I suppose that took us from 110th in the ncaa divI to 109th(not a joke)out of 120 teams. Great job offensive coaching staff. These talented players deserve more.....shouldnt this be one of those things where you hang your head in shame and step down so a competent person can step in. Can`t wait for the change. Go Bucks

One of my biggest gripes about our offense for the Bollman years has been our lack of attacking the middle of the field. Our pass plays either have the WR running out of bounds or running straight down the field. We have so many playmakers and we refuse to get them the ball in space. It's like we only play football outside the hashes! With every team loading the box the intermediate routes over the middle have to be open.

I've heard/read JT despised plays over the middle. Felt the risk outweighed the reward and too many turnovers can potentially happen. Thus, the lack of TE use the past several years.. I don't have the link but thought I read it on here somewhere.

At the risk of getting banned, I still have to say it: I can't take it anymore. Keep Fickell, hire Meyer or whoever, I don't care. What I do care about is not having to watch this off cood attempting to call games.

Fickell complains that they didn't start off fast. Well, you start the game by calling two runs, end up in 3rd and long, and then try to pass on 3 straight possessions resulting in sacks or incompletions and 3 three and outs. If an old man in Holmes Co sitting in his easy chair with chip dip hangin out of the corner of his mouth knows what is coming, Purdue defensive coaches sure knew it, and they were ready. For heaven's sake, give them something they aren't ready for! Is that so hard?

I want an offense that attacks opponents, not one that wants to run 3 plays and punt. You lose games against inferior opponents like that. And it makes me sick.

If I am Fickell I would fire him today. If you are trying to win and win this job show the leadership and enough is enough. Demonstrate to the players and fans that this level of offense at OSU is unacceptable. I am one of Fickell's fans but he is a head coach now and not a defensive coordinator and time to make the call and show you have control of the program. As an Alumni I would be more impressed for him to get the permanent job with such a move.

I'm sorry. Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

So stupid, why do we even bother with play-action then? The whole point of it is to affect the linebackers who would otherwise be covering the middle of the field. I can understand limiting your attempts over the middle, but we've completely eliminated, you have to threaten it to keep the defense honest. And why the hell don't we ever run a screen when the defense is begging for it? The Purdue linebackers weren't even reading the play before filling running lanes, how do you not call something to exploit that?
