I don't know what to think anymore.. Nike has [censored]ed my emotions.

At first glance with the picture posted of just the top, I thought hell no.

Then with the helmets, pants, and gloves, I thought OK.

Now, with that picture - I think they look pretty bad ass.

They don't look as bad in the photo I posted, as I thought they would.

But, as the photo is small, you can't see the gray stitching on the shoulder pads--which I'm not a fan of--so maybe that is why it looks better to me.

Still don't like the black outline around the numbers.

Texas' is the only one I like out of the bunch.

tOSU's- meh. Like numby said, I know it's Ohio State, but it doesn't look like "Ohio State". Oh well...

I think the uniform as a whole on the player is pretty cool. But I hate them for the Buckeyes because it doesn't look like OSU. It looks like another team with the same colors + black.

...Other than the "O" on the chest and block O on the pants (you can't see it straight on).

You could slap a block O on anything, but if it doesn't look like OSU it doesn't look like OSU. I don't think these do. You know what I'm saying.

The only thing that annoys me is except for the pants they looks really similar to the Oklahoma jersey. They could of spend a little more time making the 2 look unique.

What annoys me the most is not being able to see the helmets full of buckeye award decals vs. Michigan that these guys earned all year long. That is the most tragic thing of this one game change.

Do we know for sure that the helmets will not have the decals?

At one point I heard white helmets and silver buckeye leaves, but I don't know if that's valid. I don't know if they would do the decals plus the numbers on the side of the helmets. Since we have two losses this year, we should still have plenty of room to work around the helmet numbers though, since no one will be filling up both sides (a la Troy '06). Cam might be close if he has another big game this Saturday.

I thought there was a rumor that we would be getting gray stickers for the alt helmets? I hope so, it would suck to see empty helmets against Michigan.

Thats my fault. I hope I am wrong on that. I just assumed with the helmet numbers they wouldn't add the buckeye decals. I look forward all season to see those helmets filled up.

Our uniform looks like what our jerseys would look like if we were an NFL team. Kind of like it, definitely can take it for one game. If we were to adopt the new technology for next year and beyond, though, we would definitely need to change the helmet and jersey. The pants and gloves can stay, though.

According to the U of Maryland site, they are wearing alternate jerseys against Va Tech. They will be all camouflage jerseys partnered with the Wounded Warriors project. Va Tech will be wearing the ones previously mentioned in this thread.

So does that mean Under Armour will be involved in this massive alternate uniform blitz with Nike? Or is Maryland just an isolated case? Add South Carolina to that list as well...

Word is that several Adidas and UA teams will be wearing different uni's as well as the Nike ones.

i like the pants, but other than that its pretty weak. absolutely SHOULD NOT be done for the game. against usc or any other big 10 team and i wouldn't mind so much. but this isn't the time or place for this sort of thing.
