they don't even remotely resemble LSU.

here is another rumoured uni for us

not looking like LSU is an outrage in my book.
changing our colors completely to that of a totally different D-1 school should be punishable by death

Please tell me you didn't really intend to use the word "tragic" when discussing ANY FUCKING ELEMENT OF SPORTS UNIFORM DESIGN!

Yeah, the whole thing is pretty tragic if you ask me. Can't narrow it down to any single element.

College football should be old school in my opinion, i am so sick of these futuristic uniforms that Nike pushes. Let the nfl use those uniforms keep college football classic the way it should be.

Does anyone else feel inspired to watch "The Running Man?" Most of these uniforms are truly God awful. I can't wait until we get diamond plate next year

I wonder if they had the internet in 1954 if there would be a bunch of gnashing of teeth when the uniform ultimately changed over time... right up to the uniform of today.

I don't have any problem with honoring a past team with a past look. I'm not a big fan of changing a great look just for the sake of change (meaning, if Nike ever comes up with a uni like the one Nutria posted re: LSU, I reserve the right to bitch!)

i think both LSU unis I've seen so far are hideous.

one (the one I posted) looks absolutely nothing like anything LSU has ever worn.
my son has a set of pajamas that would make better uni's than that filth.


the other leaves both of our normal colors completely off of the uni.
not the same shade of purple, and not even close to the same shade of gold.

gone are the traditional shoulder stripes. no clue what will be on the side of the helmet (if it's that fucking toonces logo, i may join Big Woof in his suicide attempt). gone are the gold pants we've worn (with very few exceptions) since at least the 50's.

Kudos Nike. Not only do you screw with very traditional uniforms, but you don't even bother to change the design for VaTech & LSU. Maybe they can wear them together if they meet in bowl season

In that case, the scarlet sleeves without grey look really good.

I wouldn't mind if the kept the uniform like that. I'll pine for that style of pants forever.

took a bit of digging, but it looks like LSU last wore the notre Dame shade of gold helmets in '49 or '50 (can't find any pics from '50).

'51 we had our current gold color either blank or with numbers on the side and the 1st year of the shoulder stripe like these from '59

so other than a couple tweaks to the helmet decals, we've worn essentially the same uni for the last 58 years.

I guess I never have understood the whole ambition to make a uniform look like something straight out of the Jetsons. If that's the case with this one, the Buckeye faithful will make more noise about that next week then Michigan week itself.

Could be worse. I like that the pants are really gray and compared to the others ours are the best - they still look like Ohio State. Miami's and LSU's are just bad. Miami fans probably won't notice but LSU supporters should be pissed.
