Yeah, 'cept he woulda scored on this play if that Miami defender wouldn't've gotten a handfull of jersey. They won't be able to do that this year.

umm... why would you bother wasting server space to disagree with someone else's opinion? what does chicken taste like? i'm pretty damn sure that it tastes different to you than it does to me. De gustibus non est disputandem is a pretty good way of stating it... anyway, in saying what i said, i was stating my opinion that if the unis had gray numbers, they would look effin awesome. in this instance, there is only ONE difference between the actual finished project, and how i would like to see it, hence the 'so close' comment: as in "they were 'so close' to getting it right."...

Their uniforms are basically 2/3 gray already with the helmet and pants. Why this insufferable complaining about the lack of gray? The uniform is to be looked at as a whole, not just the jersey itself.

Well when I wear my jersey, I'm not wearing gray pants or a gray helmet.

I had been looking for a pic of the scarlet jersey with gray numerals and white trim that some fans wear in the stands, and fianlly found one (albeit partial) in the CNNSI fan photo spread they did today. The guy in the left of the photo has it on. The numerals don't look as big as those on official jerseys, but you get the idea. I think that's what the changes to the jerseys should've been...keep everything as it was and just make the numerals grey with white trim.

The jersey's are really not new. They look exactly like my '79 #10 jersey with the exception that the logo has replaced "OHIO STATE" above the numbers. To me they look like a throwback.

Personally the letters and numbers have always been white and gray would be too much of a break.

At least we don't have to deal with Uni's like the "Ducks" have! Yuck!
