Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

I'd like to see it, but there is no f'ing way the Nike uni's will be such a small change.

They may pay tribute to the 2002 team..but you can be sure they'll make it look like ass somehow.
"The jerseys and pants are all white, like the ice water that ran through Craig Krenzel's Germanic warrior veins. The flames on the side of the helmet pay homage to the SEC speed shown by Maurice Clarett as he chased down Sean Taylor."

Hopefully this means actual grey pants and grey returning to the scarlet jerseys.

Both tweets are promising, but who knows with the ridiculous shit Nike has been putting out lately. Ironically, the military appreciation night set up for VT looks really classy, IMO.

Granted that's a one time uniform, but they didn't go too crazy, which is promising.

Grown men shouldn't wear football uniforms, unless they play football. Grown men wearing uniforms idolizing college kids is a bit creepy imo.

idolizing? Not so much. Supporting your team, while supporting current/former players doesn't come off as creepy to me. But again, to each his own.

I think it looks bad ass. Thats the new Multi-Cam both us (Air Force) and the Army are getting issued before we step foot out the door headed to Afghanistan and Iraq. They even have new flight suits that have the multi-cam pattern on it.

You may not realize it but when you put on that pattern it gets pretty real. Its like when you go off base to a local military surplus and pick up things like a "boonie cap", all the old timers know what that means.

I think its awesome that they do this and it looks classy IMO.

Anything the service academies can do to remind fans of what they've signed up for - risking their lives to preserve our freedom - is fine by me. Esthetics takes a back seat on this one, in my opinion.

When Army, Navy and Air Force are playing, the personnel are in an entirely different category from players at any other school.

This is true. If Army, Navy or Airforce want to have camo uniforms then that's actually pretty bad ass. But if the Patriots, Padres or Texas Longhorns or whoever do it, it just looks stupid and comes across as some kind of gimmick and they should be burned.

And man, som e of those Army uniforms are awesome. I love playing as Army in an NCAA dynasty.
