Nike probably always wants to put Ohio State in new permanent uniforms and the only hold-up is Ohio State agreeing.

I wouldn't be shocked if there are new uniforms under a new head coach (not a drastic change).

I like the ones now. Although I'd be shocked if they didn't have another combat uniform again next year to wear once.

Not Pro Combat, because that's probably a given that OSU will wear those one game, but the current uniforms have been worn since 2006 without changes.

That's six seasons. Usually the program has switched before six seasons.

From 05 to 06 it was just smaller stripes and a black stripe on the sleeve and the numbers moved on the shoulders.

Here's a reason I will buy: the scarlet jersey with the gray stripes had been around for 20 seasons, more if you add in the fifties and the late sixties and seventies. If Nike could get the Buckeyes to change the stripes they could sell a [Mark May] load of jerseys to those non-traditionalists out there with $150 burning a hole in their pocket.
