Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

I don't care what Oregon does, and frankly I enjoy making fun of the newest crap they come up with. So more power to them. However, I would argue USC's probation has more to do with their recent recruiting success than their jerseys. But we'll just have to agree to disagree there...

DeAnthony Thomas agrees with you.

Oregon's football-players-only dorm, financed by Phil Knight, is a palace.
Why this doesn't qualify as an improper benefit is beyond me. I thought the whole idea was to prevent athletes from receiving stuff unavailable to the student body at large. :roll1:

I bet the fair-market rent differential between the gridiron dorm and the usual 4-to-a-closet dorm room would pay for many, many tats.

And before anyone gets too hot at me... Most of what I say in this thread has a purposely tongue in cheek tone to it. Don't take me to seriously. If the man upstairs told me today that TOSU could beat M*ch*g*n each and every time TOSU played them from here to eternity, but that TOSU would have to wear pink polka dot leotards to do it, I'm at Conrad's right now fitting for a pink polka dot leotard, with the extra large crotch of course...

im 29 years old...not sure how old you are...i grew up pretty much in the 90's and this is how shit was back then as far as kids liking teams because of their jersey's or colors (and im not talking about gangs either, thats totally different)...and i dont think much has changed...my cousin who is probably around 13, who is from north east ohio, likes the Temple Owls and wants to go to school there...i asked him why he likes temple and he replied that he thinks they have cool uniforms...this is obviously a very stupid reason for picking a school but if thats what he likes right now then more power to him...eventually when he turns 18 in 5 years or so, he may have totally changed his mind about temple and realize that when your a kid you think you can do and go wherever you want regardless of finances...is it so stupid for me to believe that if my cousin thought the same for the oregon ducks as he does for the temple owls, AND was a D1 talent football player that he would not for sure go to Oregon if given a scholarship offer?? no i do not
