Should fans have a say in if the university wears the Pro Combat jerseys or not? If players on the team like them, who's more important than them? I get that the "traditionalists" don't like them, but what does that ultimately mean? Former players haven't been very outspoken out about it and they ARE the tradition.

I know what you're getting at, man...but I guess more than anything, it makes me sad.

I know it isn't my decision, but tradition matters a LOT to me. Just because the current players don't realize yet or care what that means, doesn't mean it shouldn't be protected.

I like the idea of a dark gray jersey and I could possibly get on board with a black jersey too, so long as it doesn't have those stupid ass helmets. For the record, I hated the jersey's last year. They looked dumb as fuck. I think black jerseys would get the team pretty amped and I'm sure that night will be rockin' even without different jerseys.
As for the tradition thing, some of you are so entrenched in tradition shit that you won't even buy the jersey's from 06-present. Really, I don't see anything wrong with that stance at all. You value tradition and you represent a large portion of the fan base. No doubt Nike has slowly said "Fuck Tradition" but that's obviously what's in their best interests financially. If you wanna bitch at anything, bitch about how corporatized college athletics have become because tradition doesn't sell as well as "innovation" it appears.

I'd like to make myself clear, I'm certainly not arguing in favor of the black jerseys. I just think the players would like it (from the 8 or 9 current players I know, I don't know how the majority of the locker room feels), the students would like it, and it would create a pretty kickass environment in the 'Shoe.

I'd certainly be ok with the Scarlet home jerseys. But the Pro Combat jerseys create an exciting environment.

Not quite...if I was a good photoshop-ist I'd photoshop some beard in there, then we'd be in business.

If you're that much against the idea of a black jersey, start your own sporting apparel company, get the exclusive licensing rights to Ohio State and outlaw the idea of black jerseys. Until then, stop the bitching.

The only point being missed it that you are going out of your way to defend people getting butt hurt and bitching because the Ohio State Buckeyes are not currently wearing black jerseys (or insert you're preferred lame empty trend).

Who gives a shit? If you don't like Ohio State wearing Scarlet uniforms then DON'T WATCH THEM. If you want to see a team wear black...watch a team that wears black.
