Let me put it this way, would you rather OSU win the National title wearing a "different" uniform or go 10-2 but protecting their "tradition"?

Uniforms like society are not static. The Buckeye uniforms have gone through many changes over the years.

I agree with your main point, that uniforms have gone through many changes over the years.

However, where the uniforms are right now is about as damn close to perfection as you can get.

I don't mind seeing an alternate every now and again, either.

I don't see how that's a valid question given the fact that there is absolutely no correlation between the two things.

I'd rather see them win the title without having gimmicky changes in the Michigan game. Even if we were a tradition-less school, gimmicks are lame as shit and annoy the hell out of me and a lot of people.

And I don't even think these uniforms will be that bad.

That is not an exact replica of the '42 uniform. Close, but too "hip hop" for me. It looks like the Tampa Bay Bucs home uni in a way IMO.

Ah hell, I'll give some credit, it's better than the hatchet job I expected and definitely better than all those other abominations Nike has done. Maybe it'll look better on an actual player.

Well of course it isn't exact the helmets aren't leather and have face masks :p. It's never going to be identical when you're talking about working with different materials.

I do agree that they should stop fucking with our jerseys, especially for Michigan games at least. Maybe doing a throwback over homecoming or something would be kind of neat

I feel like it'd be more likely that the season was remembered as that fantastic championship season with the different jerseys.

OK, color me confused.

Some of the same posters who were complaining about last years unis not being a true throwback are now complaining about them wearing a scarlet helmet (which is a true throwback helmet).
