This would make me 0-2 on my statements this year, and I'd be happy to be wrong both times.

I took the BC site (blue checkmark on twitter) at face value that it was a done deal. I guess not?

I can state factually, Stoops was FSU's #1 target. They thought it was a lock they'd come to a deal with him because of their program. When I was told it was Stoops, it was partially correct. FSU fired Taggart with assumption Stoops would be their guy. That he'd be hired quickly, and be able to put the pieces in place immediately since he wasn't in college coaching. They were very wrong.......but I think that's a good thing.

I’ve seen speculation on 11W that Hafley made demands of BC similar to Schiano and Rutgers. The difference being BC is much less likely to meet those conditions... or at least I hope that’s the case.

For me it was a relatively big booster who is a buddy of mine, sending me text images of a convo with the previous AD’s son.....the convo was real, the assumption it was a done deal was wrong. As a former employee, I think there’s a level of hubris FSU needs to rid themselves of....they aren’t what they think they are.....

I mean, I get it. These guys want to have their own program, but, wouldn't it be extremely hard to leave this program with what he's building in that secondary? Guy sticks for one or two more years and accomplishes anywhere close to this and he'll be getting those great job offers like Bama, USC, Notre Dame etc.

I guess he could get those as well at BC if he made em respectable but I'd sure hate to go to something like that when he's at the apex here.
