Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

Don't really blame Winston for this. You get in the moment and adrenaline is high and your thinking about one thing. The ref probably didn't register as a ref because it wasn't his typical standing spot. I have never seen a ref stand there and don't know why he even allowed the center over the ball. My guess is he set the ball then realized a substitution had been made and just stood anywhere he could to stop Winston from starting the play. Nothing malicious there.

That said, the ref should have ejected him and I would hope the ACC head ref enforces a punishment on him. Whether or not it was malicious, you can't touch a ref and the ACC refs need to make a statement about this.

The ref almost lost his balance. Unlike the girl in the dorm, if he had gone down there was no saving Jameis.

The ACC can hand down punishment this week. I sure hope the chance of having one of their teams play in the playoff doesn't cloud their judgement.

Unfortunately I'm expecting it to. There's too much money involved. Not only the money from playing in the playoffs, but also licensing fees (which are huge). The financial residual affect from the championship is far reaching, and they've let him get away with everything else.

Refs stand there all the time when the offense made a sub but are still trying to run a hurry up. I don't buy that adrenaline excuse for a second. In what world do you ever have to push somebody out of the way before a snap? That's not a natural thing that adrenaline would have taken over.

Not making excuses. Just saying it didn't look malicious. The ref looked like the was just bumbling around as he walked away confused. Typically the ref stands tall and is supposed to be the law out there. He looked like a high school ref out of his element and should have throw a flag. Should have been ejected. I don't know why he would have stood for that.

It wasn't malicious. It was exceedingly indicative of a fucking head case who exhibits the toxic combination of being both too entitled and too stupid to see two seconds beyond his immediate needs and has a coach, a university, a conference, a fanbase and multiple police departments who have shown him that there will be no consequences for these actions.

It hasn't been since Lawrence Philips that an athlete--and more so his enablers--has driven me to a point that I am actually wishing for bad things to happen to him.......really fucking bad things.

I cannot remember ever seeing a player put his hands on a ref. (Not counting bumping into one while running a play.) But this deliberately? Uh uh.

But, then, leave it to our wunderkind to have a seemingly endless supply of new rabbits to pull from his hat. (Probably stolen rabbits from Petco.)
