Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

Jameis Winston rescues stray puppy

Per a report from animal shelter volunteer Ralph A. Demeo, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston rescued a stray German Shepherd puppy he found in the street and brought it to the shelter.

No word on how ESPN will spin this.

How can anyone not like a guy that rescues poor lost puppies?

Call me cynical, but I can't help wondering whose job it was to go and steal the puppy from some poor kid's back yard so Jammies could play the hero and "rescue" it.

Saved a puppy? Wow!

I guess if you look at people as being good or bad based on the balance of good and bad things they do with their lives he can rape a couple of more girls and still come out even.

The worst part of this is that it has all but put ND and FSU in the finals. It will take two losses by ND for Ohio state or Michigan State to have so much as a shot.

ND will likely lose again. They're young, depth is an issue with the suspended players and injuries, and they've got both USC and ASU left to play out west. There's always the potential to drop a head scratcher for them in November too. There's still 5 games for most teams to play, and a lot of Top 10 match ups still to come like Ole Miss and Miss State. Most teams with 1 loss in the top 15 still are in good shape.

Don't forget Notre Dame has that conference championsh...oh wait nm.

Don't really need a conference championship. In 2013 ND beat the B1G conference champion, lost to the PAC-12 champ by a TD, and beat the PAC-12 runner up. Oklahoma was also on the schedule. This year we'll have likely a close contest lost to the ACC champ, and unless Oregon wins out we'll most likely have games against either the PAC-12 champ and/or the runner up. Most of the recent schedules have stood up well on their own despite not having a conference championship game. This year's schedule looked pretty brutal at the beginning of the season, but it's been much more manageable once Michigan and North Carolina tanked. That's their fault, not ours.

Doesn't matter who is at fault for weak schedules...it's still the schedule. Not saying ND's is weak because Stanford/FSU/ASU/USC stacks up well against most teams', but what good team does ND have to play a week after the regular season is done...with everything on the line? This is why, before the Big Ten had to play a conference game, I was arguing with Big12 fans about how stupid it was to have to play ANOTHER game before getting your shot at a title. Screw that...we had it the easy way. Now we have to play somebody from the other division....possibly for the second time....and they're going to be the best team from that division.

We were saying the same shit before, and look what happened last season. I want the two best teams to play in the NCG, and we were not 1 or 2 so we didn't deserve to play for it all.
