A scUM football player with a severe case of hemorrhoids visited the team doctor. The doctor prescribed some very powerful suppositories and asked the guy to come back in a couple of weeks.
The scUM football player had never used suppositories before and didn't realize they weren't a pill to be taken orally.
Two weeks later, he was in even more discomfort from the hemorrhoids, sees the doctor again. The doctor asks him how the suppositories are working?
The scUM football player says, "For all the good they done me, I might just as well have shoved them up my ass!"

Ah, but the all time classic editor's nightmare comes to us from the pages of the Columbus Dispatch in 1966. The captain of the Buckeye basketball team, Al Peters, was injured and the Dispatch Sports headline proudly declared, "Buckeyes to play with Peters Out."

Look it up.
Not as good as the headline from my school's paper after beating rival Bates College: "Amherst Masters Bates"

No ifs, ands or Butt: Michigan TE suspended for one game

A month’s worth of tumult that continued this past week has bled into game day for the Michigan football program.

Shortly before the kickoff off their game against Indiana, the Wolverines announced that Jake Butt has been suspended for today’s Big Ten contest. The reason given wasn’t the standard “violation of team rules;” rather, it was for “violation of team standards.”

Entire article: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...s-or-butt-michigan-te-suspended-for-one-game/

Just wondering: How can someone be suspended for a "violation of team standards" when the team doesn't really have any standards?
