That would minimize his impact, IMO.

Clowney may not attend Saturday's big game
By Phil Kornblut
DE Jadeveon Clowney (6-6 240) of South Pointe had looked into setting an official visit to Clemson this weekend but that did not come together. Now, according to his coach, Clowney may not make it to the game at all because of the 7:00 kickoff and the late hour he would return to Rock Hill. Clowney has taken an official visit to USC. Miami has come off his list and LSU is back on as far as other official visits he?s considering. The others are Alabama, Ohio State and Florida State. Right now he?s scheduled to visit Florida State January 7th the weekend after the Under Armour All American game.

Clowney has sit down meeting with Saban
By Phil Kornblut
Alabama has long been one of the favorites of South Pointe DE Jadeveon Clowney and Wednesday night Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban had his chance to sell himself and his program to Clowney and his family. South Pointe head coach Bobby Carroll also sat in on the meeting. "It seemed like it went good," Carroll said. "Saban, as always, put on a great show. It looked like it went well. He does no negative recruiting about any other school in the country. It was all about the University of Alabama." Clowney has taken his official visit to USC. He is set to visit Florida State January 7th and will go to Alabama the second or third weekend in January. He's also looking at Ohio State and LSU for visits. Ohio State coaches plan to be at his practice Friday. USC recruiters Brad Lawing and Ellis Johnson met with him Sunday. Clowney will actually be in Columbia Thursday. His team will practice at USC in preparation for its state championship game Saturday. And Clowney will attend an awards banquet later that night in Columbia.
In September Bucknuts.com had the news that the Buckeyes were in the running for the country’s No. 1 overall prospect, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Six weeks later we said Clowney would likely make an official visit to Ohio State. We can now tell you he has scheduled the visit and the Bucks may have an advantage over most of the other schools Clowney has on his list.
