Geez, if Elflien gets that block, JT is gone.

Has managed one career interception and COUNTLESS bad angles in his career.

He is what he is. A very good athlete who can make plays where he can rely on that athletic ability. Fundamentally, he's a mediocre defender, at best. He can't get off blocks and continually takes poor angles. Get him in space (drink!), and he'll eff it up more often than not.

I'd wager good money he won't come anywhere close to living up to his draft position. His best NFL attributes might be as a return specialist.

I was just going to say, hard to see him doing anything consistently beyond being a return specialist.

He is the king of over pursuit and taking bad angles. I don't think anyone has ever actually taught him to properly play defense? He pretty much gets by on athletic ability alone. That might work somewhat in college but it's not going to cut it for long in the NFL.

I could maybe understand a established team taking a stab on him late in the 1st round to see if they can coach that athletics ability into an actual football player, if not they at least get a decent return man. But if a bad team wastes a top 10 pick on him, lol.

I think Taylor Mays is a good defensive comparison, Taylor was 3 inches taller and a bit heavier but it was the same thing with him, freak athlete who just wasnt a sound football player (I take it Peppers projects at SS, just like Mays) 49ers took a 2nd round stab at him, result was 66 games played in 5 years mostly as a backup.
