JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

Is this real?

I knew I wanted to see it happen, didn't know how rare (read: nonexistent) it was. And honestly, if not for some mismangement in priorities for a couple games, it should have easily been on pace to happen. Still might. The 401 rushing yards is tough, but over presumably 4 games (before Heisman voting), he could break out some long ones to make it happen. Certainly any playoff run would assure that. Cool.

According to 11W it is

The article was from the beginning of October, here is the recent discussion on it over there

It will be a stretch and OSU will have to play for the NC most likely for him to get it

He's a solid, not spectacular safety. He's a good PR. He's a hell of an athlete...it's hard to deny that. However, his entire "Heisman campaign" seems to be that he does a lot of things...not many of them on any kind of "superior" level. The TFL numbers are nice. The PR numbers are nice. Everything else is just window dressing. His candidacy is the equivalent of a volume scorer in the nba. He does stuff...a lot of it.

This is the media wanting somebody from a traditional power that has been down for a long time to be in the spotlight. They love a comeback story. Harbrau knows that, and he's damn sure doing is best to get Peppers in the spotlight. The media LOVED that flea-flicker, despite the fact it was a play nearly anybody on a CFB roster could make. And despite the rather glaring lack of substance...the media is buying it hook, line and sinker.

I didn't get the hype coming into the season, and I still don't. Hell, if Urban wanted to get Malik Hooker this kind of hype, I have zero doubt that Hooker could better anything Peppers is doing. He's actually intercepted some passes...and actually scored TD's. His return Saturday was flashier than anything Jabrill has done in his entire career. Hooker > Peppers.

Let's just hope that jabriLL doesn't give our hooker chlamydia.
