Here is the deal. You can go to the regional campus and transfer after one quarter. As long as you are in at the regional campus you can transfer with a 2.0 I believe.

As for Lima it is a hell of a lot cheaper than the main campus and you are still considered a student of tOSU and can still get football, basketball tickets.

BTW they are the Barons not the Eagles.

According to my letter I need 45 credit hours, which they say takes roughly 3 quarters. If I get my credit from AP English and AP Government then I'll need fewer (obviously, but not sure how many fewer) and hopefully I'll be able to squeeze it into 2 quarters.

And thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get tickets, and that was one of the reasons I was depressed about it all.

Yep you are right...I was thinkig of my friend that did it in 2 quarters.

I do think it will take you 3 quarters to get 45 credits which will make you a sophmore. That is 15 hrs. a quarter which is a normal load. Anything over 15 is getting pretty heavy, even tho some people take around 22 or 23 which is crazy to me, but if you want you could get it done in 2 quarters.

Not sure when the incoming students order their tickts, but just make sure to contact the ticket office and find out when incoming student students can get their tickets. You will still have to pick them up in columbus tho as they will not send them thru the mail.

The avg. ACT of this year's incoming class was over 26, so obviously admissions is tightening up. That mark has risen for the past 10 years straight. If you have 10+ hours of AP credit you can do another 30-35 hours in 2 quarters no problem. You'll just be taking GEC's and entry level crap anyway.

How many times did you take the ACT? Did you try to improve on your score at all? A 27-28 would've probably gotten you in.

My niece's boyfriend recently got accepted to OSU. We were talking about this the other day. He's a good student, not sure of the GPA, but something in the 3.8 range, along with a 29 ACT from one of the C-Buses better HS systems. Considering, I didn't know what the big deal was. I mean, in terms of the relative surprise that he got in. Admission standards have gone way up since my day. My HS performance was barely adequate (Think I had something like a 2.1 and a pedestrian ACT), and even still I didn't bother applying to any other schools, being certain I'd get in to OSU. And, as I figured, I did. Blew off another 2, maybe 3 years before I decided to start taking school even the least bit seriously.

My niece was accepted too, as well as her bf, LOL.. BKB, we have a lot in common... She is a hella student though, she will graduate with an international diploma, as opposed to a traditional one. She will carry some crazy 4.4-4.5 gpa. I'm just thankful she isn't a nerd!

Our kids look the same too, from what I hear. Quit stalking me.
