IU Coach Terry Hoeppner

RIP Coach Hep. While I was at Miami I was able to get to know Coach and his wife through some political activities-we both helped each other out a bit and he was an amazing guy. I had little doubt his energy was going to take Indiana to a bowl game, and it still might, I just wish he could see it from the sidelines.

i am curious to see how he ended up passing away so abruptly but i am guessing it will be weeks later from an autopsy if they have no disclosed it yet. maybe they will at the statement at 3. regardless, he seemed like a great guy and a fighter to keep on going despite the surgery and led by example. he had indiana turning their program in the right direction.

IU link

"Terry's fight was courageous and will serve as an inspiration to those who have known him," said IU Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan. "This is a truly sad day for our community, and all of our thoughts and prayers are with the Hoeppner family and to those whose lives he has touched."

Truly well said.

Terry Hoeppner was a very brave man with a big fight to fight & he gave it his all. Sympathies to his family, friends, & school!
I have a benefit concert on July 13th at Wheeling Island to photograph for the night.
A friend whom I've known as a drummer since the 80's has stage 4 esoghageal gastric cancer,so the Musicians for a Musician are banding together again for this benefit. They contacted me to shoot pictures & video this one too.

This must be quite a shock to the program, as it is to IU fans. After all, the AD was worried about him being out for spring football.

Hoppner was very good for the IU program and will be missed.
