Yep football practice was hell today. A very cold hell that is.

Water puddles on the field only made it worse for unlucky players that would fall into the puddles and be wet for the rest of practice.:(

I hear the forcast for Football Friday Nite is more cold and snow. Just great..........

My favorite highschool game that I played in was a Friday night game in a blizzard. I wasn't cold the whole game, the key is to keep moving. I'm sure it was less fun for the guys that stayed on the sidelines, but for me, it was an absolute blast. I think half of our starters didn't even wear long sleeves. It was kind of wierd running around in a blizzard and sweating.

We didn't win the game (we sucked that year), but we shut down the best offensive team in our league. Their RB already had 1,000 yards by the time we played them, and I think we held him under 100.

I hope, teddy, that if you snowy conditions for your game tonight, that you end up enjoying it as much as I did mine. Good luck.

The worse weather I ever experienced was while living in Akron.
That lake effect snow and even summer weather was brutal!
Winter bone chilling dampness and wind.
Summer oppressive humidity that made me long for Florida!
Wife and I sat through the infamous Akron-Montana State over time
play-off game in the Rubber Bowl!
Brrrrrrrrrrr!
No wonder Pittman and Beanie are so tough!

Say TG05, have you guys played Brookhaven this year yet? Didn't you guys lose to them in the cold last year about this time and end some streak or something?

They just announced that there were "thunder snows" in America yesterday and today? Is there such a thing? I don't remember anything like that!

Yes there are, I have experienced them and think they were once discussed on this board.

I witnessed one here in Boston last year. It was truly bizarre.

I think we should revisit this poll in, say, February. I bet not as many folks would say "Bring it on!"

We played Brookhaven on Sep. 29, losing 28-20 in the final minutes. We haven't beat them since 2001, which was their last Columbus City League loss. They have won 32 straight games in Columbus City League, winning the City North Division Championship the past 4 years.

That Brookhaven senior class that graduated this past year was incredible. Going 47-5 in 4 years, winning State D2 in 2004 and as already said, winning 4 straight City League Championships.

Last year it wasn't cold, it was actually nice. This year it was cold, in the 40's. I don't know what streak your thinking of?

Winters in Taos are extraordinary!

Blue skies and sunshine.

You would think that living at 7100 ft we would get a lot of snow.
You'd be wrong. And any snow we get evaporates quickly!
And it's light, fluffy snow. :tongue2:
