Is Mad Men the new Sopranos?

Show kicks ass...but would be better if it were on HBO or one of those stations...

Even though it came from one of the producers of The Sopranos, HBO turned it down in favor of John from Cincinnati. :(

It's obviously a little slower paced and a lot less violent than The Sopranos, so I could see people liking one but not the other. In terms of smart, nuanced and well written tv drama, it's pretty damned good.

Damn, this show is only getting stronger. Tonight's episode may have been the best yet.

Lines like, "one minute you're in the bar having a drink and they come and tell you that your kid has been born; the next you're sending him off to college."

One character sending another off to drive home absolutely hammered.

A character walking around the office with a rifle and noone paying any attention.

A business lunch that consisted of raw oysters and non-stop martinis

The greatest puke in cinematic history (either big screen or small screen).

God damn, I was born too late.

Sorry ORD, I trust that this is a good show and I trust your opinion, but there is a whiny, hipster, guy that works with me who loves this show. He's such a bitch.

I can't watch this show till he tires of it and moves on to the new flavor of the month.
