Is Mad Men the new Sopranos?

The more I watch this show, the more convinced I am that it's better than The Sopranos. Mad Men knows how to carry, and most importantly complete, a story line over multiple episodes. How often did the Sopranos just drop something, never for it to be heard from again.

Chase was too into making his little one hour masterpieces that he lost sight of the fact that he was still doing a series.

BTW, the Brit came through quite well in the end.
Still haven't chased this show down, but not nearly enough openly displayed vice and boobs to be the sopranos (or any other premium cable show). Need more boobs, dammit. HBO should buy Mad Men...
HBO passed on Mad Men in favor of John from Cincinnati. Actually, I think given the time period, Mad Men works better without graphic language or nudity. It just feels more authentic.

Someone probably got fired for that one. It's sad that broadcast TV has gone to mostly reality shit and most of the good shows now have to be on cable. I guess it's only bad for the actors since they don't get paid as much as broadcast shows. The thing that always pisses me off is when a good broadcast show (i.e. Life) gets canned before it even has a chance because the all the brain dead morons out there would rather watch retards sing or dance than a quality series.
The funniest thing for me is seeing all of the people from Mad Men popping up on other shows for some extra coin. Don Draper has to be the biggest bargain in tv at only 75K per episode.

Awesome, I thought I was the only person who watched Mad Men. Literally no one I interact with in person knows where the channel AMC even is on their television.

The Kennedy Assassination was one of the most gripping episodes of any TV show I've ever seen.

I don't get AMC on Dish so I have to download it every Monday. It isn't worth an extra $20 to get AMC and FX.

Per the soup...something to chew on.....the Kardashian-Odom wedding special was aired at the same time as Mad Men and drew over a million more viewers than Mad Men. Think about that for awhile.
