I sync with both Outlook email/calendar (work) and Google email/calendar/contacts (personal). What do you need to know? I can try to answer.

Max, out of curiosity since I haven't used Outlook in a decade, what is the stuff beyond mail, contacts, calendars that you can't get to sync natively? Clearly there's a problem given your posts and others (like this article), I'm just not following what they (and you) mean by "local data" that won't sync nicely.

Sure, Android phones also support over-the-air synchronization with corporate Microsoft Exchange servers. And that's a fine option for syncing your mail, contacts, and calendars. But syncing local Outlook data (or any other local PIM data) via USB is a different story.

Free Outlook Sync Options
Owners of some HTC devices like the EVO 4G and the Droid Incredible can use HTC Sync 3.0, which is a basic Microsoft Outlook and Windows Address Book-syncing app. It synchronizes contacts and calendars. An HTC spokesperson confirmed to us that this is still your best option, although he emphasized that cloud sync is much easier. HTC Sync 3.0 doesn't work with all HTC phones, though; the new Inspire 4G is just the latest, maddening example. (Hit HTC's site to get more information and download Sync 3.0.)

I'm now using Downcast for all my podcast. It's $1.99 for iphone/ipad. It allows me to not have to sync to itunes every morning to get new podcast. It allows you to subscribe to podcast and have them automatically downloaded to your device.

Looks a lot like Instacast, but it's a universal app. I already have Instacast and like its UI a little better, but might have to switch if they don't update their app to support iPad.

One thing that I believe that Downcast does that Instacast does not is the ability to play audio podcast at 1.5x and 2.0x speed. I've tried at 1.5X speed and it works very well. Basically takes out the pauses between words.

Not sure if someone here has mentioned it, and if so I apologize. But KeyRing is awesome. Take those little mini sized credit card/rewards cards that are with your keys, take a picture of the bar code, all you have to do is swipe your phone acrossthe scanner.

So far I've used it for Kroger, Best Buy, and Autozone

I have that one on my phone and have been wanting to try it out again. It didn't work for me before when I had a screen protector on there - I haven't tried it again since.
