BTN2go: It's a universal app, and on the iPhone it looks and acts exactly like it does on the iPad, only smaller. That's not always the case with universal apps, and it's not necessarily a good thing in this case. It seems a bit cluttered on the smaller screen. It seems serviceable on the phone though, and is certainly better than nothing in a pinch.
I like how scores can be turned on or off - if you miss the game live and want to watch the replay, you can have the app set up to not show the score of the game in its menus.
Support for notifications seems to be lacking. I'd like to be able to have alerts or banners for whenever something Buckeye related is coming on live or being made available for replay.
Also, this app is regretfully missing many of the features that were in their old football and basketball scoreboard apps. It would be nice to be able to see more schedules, scores & standings thru the app, or at least make a separate app for it. I'm still a little upset that they gimped the old apps almost a year ago.
But enough with the bitching. It's looking good so far - I'm watching a replay of Ohio State-Florida basketball and it's working pretty well. The video quality isn't as good as the Watch ESPN app, but I'm glad that the finally got the thing out there. Don't let perfection be the enemy of good - let's just hope they continue to bring improvements.
