Political correctness runs amok, yet again.

I'll have to get in line to back our Big 10 brethern on this one. If this locker room were an OSU tradition and an outsider from Boston, of all places, tries to come to Columbus and in ONE year change a decades long tradition we'd all be going nuts for this proffs head! The fact is this person has no idea what football is all about in the midwest and is simply looking to make a name for herself.

to hell with her and here's to keeping FOOTBALL FOOTBALL.

Isnt the fact that the profesor is associating pink with females and gays sexist and homophobic?? no one from the football team said thats what they were pink for, he is the only one assuming it is to make the opponents more gay or female...
I'm with you on this one. I don't think that guys should wear the color regardless of current fashions, but if someone was labeling a girl's locker room too male it would be considered sexist.

I don't think you can get around the idea that this is meant to convey "sissy" at best, "faggy" more likely. My question would be more along the lines, "Doesn't someone have to actually experience this environment to have an actionable complaint about being offended by it?" If so, what is Prof Buzzbitch doing hanging out in the visiting team locker room? If not, all she can say is that she is vicariously offended by the idea of it. That is where PC begins to run amok. Has anyone who has actually experienced this ambience complained about taking offense? I doubt it--what, risk being confirmed as a sissy or fag?

BTW, you don't think this had anything to do with our showing in last year's game, do you?

I don't think so. There is some pretty famous research indicating that viewing the correct hue of pink can make people calm and passive, and actually diminish physical strength (viewing the correct hue of red supposedly has the opposite effect). My guess is that this was based on that, and has nothing to do with any implied name-calling.

Does this mean that EVERYONE with a pink bathroom is creating homophobia and sexism and anything else that this hippie law professor can bitch about?

This lady should go back to blaming everyone except herself for the reasons why her life sucks.
