Indians Tidbits (2010 season)

There might not be a more overrated player in MLB than Grady Sizemore. Also, Lou Marson makes Andy Allanson look like Johnny Bench with the bat.

So much talent...so rare for a player to regress as much as he has. It's as if he's decided to follow the Travis Hafner carer path. It'd be nice if you could send him to the bottom of the order but when the team batting average hovers around .235 it's hard.

sadly

Austin Kearns > Hafner and Sizemore this year (so far)

needless to say, this offense is pathetic

the #4 and #5 hitters are hitting .233 (Hafner) and .122 (everybody loves Jhonny Peralta)

Sizemore at .209

Valbuena .171

LaPorta .216

Grudzielanek .200

Marte .125

and of course the always dangerous combo of Marson and Redmond hitting at .080 and .167

Cabrera and Choo are the only regulars who are hitting worth a [censored] at .291 and .218, then you got Kearns hitting .333 off the bench (only 21 ABs, though he does have more hits and extra base hits than Peralta in those 21 ABs)

Who on the current major league roster is in the mix to grab the full time spot at 2B? Obviously Valbuena, but if he doesn't start hitting, is Grudz the only other middle infielder up right now (other than Asdrubal)? I know Bixler (related to him) at AAA and he's running out of major leagues chances in his career so I'm kind of hoping the other guys tank haha.

It says something about how bad this team is when in the CPD today Acta spent like 2 paragraphs of quotes talking about all the different ways they are going to work a .216 hitter (LaPorta) into the lineup, like it was crucial to our offensive success

back to being really [censored]ty, as predicted

these scrubs can only beat the White Sox

Indians have 5 hits and Twins have 3 hits

and the Twins lead 4-0 in the 7th.... thanks to Huff's 6 walks
