Indians Tidbits (2009 season)

buckeyemania11;1488186; said:
well looks like Pavano has fell completely back to earth

he loaded the bases with no outs and then gave up a hit to the pitcher to make it 1-0 Pittsburgh and they still have the bases loaded with no outs

managed "only" to give up 3, 2 IP 7 H 3 ER BB and 55 pitches

3 runs is an offensive explosion for the Bucs.

Well, the Pirates have given the Indians 6 outs in the 9th inning and the Tribe has converted them into 5 runs. Good thing it was 10-1 when the inning started. If they hit a couple more balls to Andy Laroche they could get back in it. :shake:

 they are getting desperate now

Tribe acquires Veras from Yankees | indians.com: News

The Indians acquired right-hander Jose Veras from the Yankees for cash considerations on Wednesday. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Veras had been designated for assignment by the Yanks last week.

Veras is expected to join the Indians this week, most likely when the club returns home Friday to face the Reds.
in 25 appearances out of the New York bullpen this season, the 28-year-old Veras is 3-1 with a 5.96 ERA. He walked 14 and struck out 18 in 25 2/3 innings of work. He did not exactly endear himself to Yankee fans on April 16, when he gave up three runs without recording an out against the Tribe to take the loss in the first game at the new Yankee Stadium.
The Veras acquisition wasn't the only trade the Indians were involved in on Wednesday. The club also jettisoned former top Draft pick Michael Aubrey to the Orioles for a player to be named later.

How do you manage to allow 10 runs to the fucking PIRATES?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Just go ahead and put Pavano on the DL and get it over with. At least he gave about 6 good weeks...which is 6 more than I expected.

I cannot wait to go to the game tomorrow. Should be hilarious.

Should have traded him (ideally to the Yankees) when he was going well.

"The Battle of Ohio" will feature a comical level of ineptitude.

The Bucs manage to tie it versus Cliff Lee and friggin Grabow walks the bases loaded in the 8th. Morgan already bailed his ass out by robbing Victor of a HR and he's still trying to give the game away. :ohwell:

EDIT: So he strikes out Garko to escape. It's never easy with either of these teams.

It's like they're playing Hot Potato with the game.

"I don't want it, you take it!"

"No, YOU take it!"

Bucs walk the bases loaded in the top of the 8th, and escape.

Tribe walk the bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th, and escape.

Still tied at 2.
