Indians Tidbits (2008 season)

Again "being a closer isn't about stuff, it's about mental make-up" according to Joe Borowski. "Just because you have great stuff doesn't mean you can mentally handle being a closer."

This guy is a gamer who can get big outs when we need them. He wasn't getting lucky last year, he is that mentally strong. He makes you hit line drives into outfielders gloves. He teases you by allowing 2 runs when the Indians are up 3.

The guy is a mental genious and if he isn't our closer during our next save situation, I for one will be astonished.

Sarcasm over.......fuck you Joe Borowski. Take your "strong mentality" and 84mph fastball back to little league docuhebag.

I'm all for moving Jensen Lewis to closer......I'd like to keep Betancourt in his current role but it will be interesting to see what happens.

One thing is for sure, Borowski can not continue to be closer.....he honestly isn;t even good enough to get outs at a collegiate level right now. He'd get eaten up by most D-IA teams with an 84mph fastball.

Sadly, anyone with an ERA less than 18.00 would be an improvement.

By the way, 95% of right fielders get to that pop up hit by David Ortiz. David Delluci is such a waste of a roster spot.

Why not bring up a better hitter and defender?

I don't get it.

because he is "vetran leadership" according to shapiro

nice to know we have a gm who takes "vetran leadership" over playing ability

Not to mention that limp noodle of a throw to Second on the Lugo hit, that should have been a close play at Second at the very least. He one hooped it on that rainbow through he tossed in there. It's sickening watching this joke of a Left Field platoon and the failures of Joe Blow.
