THE (CLEVELAND) PLAIN DEALER

CLEVELAND -- Indians officials delayed the start of yesterday's game for 48 minutes, not because of snow and rain but because of the threat of snow and rain. They offered fans a buy-one, get-one-free ticket for exposing them to the elements longer than necessary, and might have given the ballclub something to occupy its mind besides a poor start to the season. Something elemental, like preventing frostbite.

this team is a joke, right now it will be shocking if they win 80 games
Settle down, it's still only April. If this team proved anything last year, it's that they're very streaky. Once C.C. and fausto come around, the rotation will be amongst the best in baseball. The bats will eventually wake up, they always do. The biggest thing right now is to get somebody else settled into the back of the bullpen and dump Borowski. He shouldn't be pitching anything other than batting practice at this point.

Do you think Doug Jones is available??

It would be a step up at this point. Maybe Ernie Camacho still has a little gas in the tank.

Last year he was doing it with mirrors. I never saw a closer get in so much trouble and still escape.

I think he may single-handedly responsible for me having to go on blood pressure meds last fall.

Yeah, it's a little early to climb out to the ledge. There has to be someone willing to step up and be the closer for this team. Betancourt has failed in his attempts in the past, I would have said maybe Lewis before his early struggles, who else is there? Kobayashi?? I can't see it.
