Indians Tidbits (2007 Season)

The Sox have come back before (see 2004 vs. Yankees), but I'm still not optimistic with Wake pitching tonight. I'm doing a big rain dance right now.
With Wake pitching tonight you better do more than a dance :)if you want rain because this is knuckler it is not dancing we will jump all over his batting practice pitches.

Wakefield actually makes me a little nervous. The Tribe always seems to have trouble against slow-pitch guys.

By the way, my favorite part of game 3? The debate between the announcers over how many different pitches Dice-K needs before the catcher needs to use his thumb for signs.

After the game last night, he was probably sucking on it. Those announcers are terrible.Who cares if the Angels general managerr reesigns or any of the other crap they throw out. They are all disgusting:(

The announcers for Fox are pathetic.....I listen to the radio during the game.

Not a bad idea, but you missed this tidbit, then. It went something like this:

Announcer A: Dice-K throws so many pitches, Varitek has to use his thumb for the signs. That's pretty unusual for a pitcher to have more than four pitches.

Announcer B: More than five pitches, you mean, to need his thumb.

*uncomfortable silence*

Announcer B: No, no, more than four, you're right.

Are we sure Varitek isn't the six-fingered man?

I tried the radio on Saturday, but there was a two or three-second delay on the television broadcast. Tom Hamilton was telling me a pitch missed outside as the pitcher was starting his windup. It got pretty annoying.

"B" of course being Tim "Dumber than a bag of Hammers" McCarver.

Me thinks Timbo took a few too many foul tips off the facemask...

Well...

Much like the Glen Mason commentary last Saturday in the tOSU game... when I listen to McCarver, I often think to myself, "Boy... I hope he had a 6-pack before the game, because it would really suck to always be that stupid."

I heard this whole exchange live lastnight. I couldn't believe they would allow an announce on the air that was that stupid.
